My Grandparents and their family in the 1940 census. This is the best entry I have ever seen, Uncle Jack, the first entry on the second page. I have always heard about him taking off at a young age, riding the rails and other adventures. I have to believe that this must have been what was going on when the 1940 census was being taken. Note Jack R, age 15, occupation - On the Bum, Industry - Wanderer. I just love the fact that my grandparents listed him and did it this way. What a record they left!
