My Grandparents and their family in the 1940 census. This is the best entry I have ever seen, Uncle Jack, the first entry on the second page. I have always heard about him taking off at a young age, riding the rails and other adventures. I have to believe that this must have been what was going on when the 1940 census was being taken. Note Jack R, age 15, occupation - On the Bum, Industry - Wanderer. I just love the fact that my grandparents listed him and did it this way. What a record they left!</div>

ChurchWilliam was the son of Azro B. Church and Harriet Matilda Williams. Born 15 Oct 1855 in Salem, Marion County, Oregon. He married Martha Louise Jewett on 27 Dec 1881 in Halls Bridge, Lewis River, Clark County, Washington. Martha was the daughter of Henry W. Jewett and Nancy Angelina Skeen.<br />

They lived most of their married life in Ilwaco, Pacific, Washington. William died 6 May 1932 in Ilwaco. He was buried in <a href="http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=51726822" target="_blank">Ilwaco Cemetery</a> but he has no stone. Martha moved to Oak Harbor with her daughter Elizabeth Estella Powell. Martha died 15 Mar 1937 in Oak Harbor, Island County, Washington.
